Chiara Battistoni
Hello!
I am an Italian Eco and Systemic Designer based in Italy (Torino and Venice), and from 2022 a researcher at Università IUAV di Venezia in design and sustainability. In December 2020 I have discussed the PhD thesis in Management, Production and Design in Politecnico di Torino (Italy) with the title “Systemic design for local circular economies: designing ecosystems to boost systemic innovation in manufacturing sectors. From the theoretical framework to the practical application.”
From 2015 to 2020, I’ve worked with the Systemic Design Research Group in the Department of Architecture and Design led by prof. Silvia Barbero (before prof. Luigi Bistagnino). I was also the assistant teacher of the course ‘Systemic Design’ in Politecnico di Torino (Italy). In 2021 I’ve been a consultant for the start-up Mercato Circolare and for the Circular Economy Alliance (CEA)
Thanks to the bachelor degree in Industrial Design, the master in Ecodesign (now “Systemic Design, Aurelio Peccei”) and the PhD in Circular Economy, I’m actively interested in environmental sustainability and my main line of research is about the potential of the Circular Economy implementation at the local level. I’ve started to explore this research field in the master and PhD thesis and in some collaborative projects like research fellow with international partners like Zeri foundation and Systemic Design Foundation.
I’ve also collaborated in many European projects like RETRACE, MULTITRACES, DIGI CIRC, led by Politecnico di Torino.
